Thanks to all of you that gave to our GoFundMe campaign. We did not reach the goal, but the money received was key to help make it through a tough stretch. We have ended the campaign as of August 2020. Most markets are operating now in some capacity and we expect things to only improve from this point. Foot traffic is still quite down at most locations, but we encourage people to come out to the markets. They are safer than grocery stores and restaurants.

While the danger from the COVID-19 crisis appears to be abating more everyday, caution is still advised when out in the public. Farmers markets have been at the forefront of safe operation and there has been no cases of the virus at ANY of the markets we participate in with respect to fellow vendors or market personnel. - We offer whole and half hog purchases through a full range of sizes, from suckling up to 300 lbs+. Prices start at $3.65/lb of the warm head-on hanging weight. This includes kill fee, gutting, and "scald and scrape". Cuts and a full range of further processing at USDA facility available for nominal extra charges. Hanging weight is generally about 75% of live weight. Please call or Email for exact current availability, full price list and delivery options. Please allow up to 3 weeks to work into butcher schedule from date of order. A 10% deposit (minimum $25) is required with invoice, which is refundable if order takes more than 4 weeks to fill. We plan to have a presence at both the Forest Hill Farmer's Market in Richmond and the City Market of Charlottesville starting this spring, where will offer a full range of cuts, as well.
